I’m not here saying you can’t positioning against specific competitors publicly. I’ve done it many times.
But, know that your competitors can respond. And that you could end up with some egg on your face.
Here’s a great example Logan Hendrickson shared last week.
Pepsi somehow didn’t realize their original ad didn’t look like a Pepsi can was wearing a Coca Cola cape 🤦♂️
On the flip side, a smart move by Coke.
As Logan put it:
“They say not to pay too much attention to what your competitors are doing, but sometimes being reactive can be a good thing.”
